Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Joke Silva, Iretiola Doyle, Bimbo Akintola, and several other actresses, staged the play, Hear Word, at Mushin Market in Lagos on Wednesday. The market show attracted a large audience, and the actresses did not interrupt their performance, despite the fact that it began to rain. Hear Word is a play, which explores the challenges everyday Nigerian women face. It will be staged at the MUSON Center in Lagos on May 23, 2014. It is being directed by Ifeoma Fafunwa. TW is 6 on the 30^th of September. This year certain harrowing statistics have made TW take on the task of raising awareness on some of the least talked about cancers that occur below the belt, cancers like Colonic, Ovarian and Cervical cancer; among others that are as deadly as they come because of their silent approach. They are mostly gynecologic and it is sad to note that many more women are dying from these cancers that a regular visit to your gynecologist can help detect, because they are completely treatable!

It is for this reason that Zaron is teaming up with TW to give five people who are cancer patients and survivors a makeover. Pot of Gold Africa is lending their support by giving jewellery, Bella Naija is supporting with publicity, and WOW connect event planners are managing. Famed associate professor of Gyneacology, Bosede Afolabi and Dr Ngozi Onyia will be on board to educate and provide basic tests for all participants.The Walk will be taking place on Saturday, September 28th 2013.
