Lola Rae who turned a year older today, took to Instagram to share photos of her baby with Tekno as she celebrated her birthday.

 The birthday photos Lola Rae shared came with the caption;

‘Happy Birthday To Me, Another year by his grace… Super thankful this year I have the best present right on my back’

Rachel Akosua Funmilola Garton, 27, professionally known as Lola Rae, is a Nigerian-born singer and dancer of Ghanaian and British descent. Lola Rae and Tekno welcomed their daughter back in May 2018 and it was heralded by beautiful comments on social media, after her baby daddy shared photos of the baby girl christened ‘Skye’.

Right from when I sang my very first song, someone offered me N80m record deal but I turned it down and at the time, I did not have N300,000 in my account'.

“My first record deal offer from the UK was £365,000, I turned it down but at the time, I had done a tour and the total amount I earned was £12,500. I used the money to shoot the videos of some of my songs. I was left with £20; they were offering me £365,000, but I turned it down. The reason I did that was that my value was not dependent on what was in my account.

“Till today, I use Uber but I do not care and by the way, I don’t even pay for the ride because I was given Uber credit. But if you see me in the Uber vehicle and feel that Mr Eazi is poor, what is my business (with that)? For instance, everybody around me has cars, and besides, I buy cars for people.  If it makes sense for me to use an Uber, why should I drive? Why would I pay about N100m for a car that I would probably drive just five times a year” 
“There are better things to do with that money. In the short time, I have spent on earth, I have made a lot of money. While I was into mining, I had so much money that I was living at a place that was a stone’s throw away from the airport in Accra and I was paying my rent in dollars'.

R. Kelly dropped by record label amid sex cult accusations

R. Kelly has been dropped by his record label following a stream of accusations of sexual abuse of minors.

The rapper and Sony Music-owned RCA record label ended their arrangement on Friday, according to industry publications.

Billboard magazine and Variety reported that he no longer appears on the roster of artists on RCA's website.

The reported split follows decades of allegations of sexual and physical abuse by the Grammy-winning singer, which were the subject of a new six-hour television documentary aired earlier this month. Kelly's attorney has denied the allegations.

RCA and Kelly's representatives have not commented.

Variety, quoting an unidentified source, said Sony Music had decided to "dissolve its working relationship" with Kelly, but that no external announcement would be made.

Billboard reported that the musician and the record company had agreed to part ways, citing unnamed sources. It said Kelly's catalog would remain with RCA. His music is still available on digital retailers and streaming services.

RCA came under renewed pressure this month to drop Kelly, best-known for the hit "I Believe I Can Fly," in the wake of a Lifetime documentary in which multiple women, including his ex-wife, made on-camera allegations of emotional, sexual and physical abuse.

Campaigners from the #MuteRKelly pressure group delivered a petition signed by some 217,000 people to Sony headquarters in New York City earlier this week asking the record company to drop the musician

Kelly, 52, released his last album in 2016. He tweeted earlier this month that a new album was on the way.

Comedian AY shows off his new G-wagon worth about N51m

Ayo Makun, Nigerian comedian popularly known as AY, has showed off his newly acquired Mercedes-Benz on social media.

The comedian bought himself a brand new white G-Class SUV G-wagon. The comedian shared a photo of the G-wagon with a nice caption on his Instagram page.

In his post, the comedian expressed that he pictures the world in black and white.

He said: “Sometimes i picture the world around me in black and white…but reality has also confirmed that they would usually be some gray areas. The HUSTLE continues. Outfit by @yomicasual, Carport design by @midas_interiors, photography by @tamzee_boy.”

I once dreamt that I’d marry Funke Akindele, but she didn’t believe me - JJC Skillz

Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as Skillz on Saturday disclosed that he once dreamt that he will marryNollywood star, Funke Akindele but she never believed him.

According to JJC Skillz, he dreamt of marrying Funke Akindele in 2012, however after a week of romance they broke. However they came back together after the actress made a move. He wrote;

I have to testify 🙏 God is great 🙏 I had a dream one night around Christmas 2012 that I will be married to @funkejenifaakindele and believing in the mighty God I trust 💪🏾 I approached and she didn’t believe me. This is coming after Abdulrasheed Bello popularly known as JJC revealed that one of his daughters, convinced him to marry Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele.
He also said his children with other women have accepted Funke as his partner. JJC, who spoke in an interview with Playground TV, said,

“Well, before we got married in London, we all had a good relationship here in Nigeria.

“The kids were always seeing this beautiful woman around daddy, and she always makes him happy. They might be away and in different continents, but they are part of our daily activities.

“The is also very close to them, they met her digital first. They didn’t know she was an actress then, because in the UK, they hardly watch Nigerian movies, but they love her so much.

“They all love each other. It’s a perfect blend. I remember my daughter telling me ‘Dad make sure you marry her. She’s a keeper.

“ And I did, I followed my daughter’s advice. One of my songs, Save The Last Dance’ was written for my wife, she really saved the last dance for me.”

The couple recently welcomed a set of twins.

Nigerian US based activist, Edafe Okporo, who was in the news last week after he called out actor Williams Uchemba, this morning via his Instagram, came out to announce he is gay and happy about his sexualy orientation.

I am proud of what I am, so many of your so call Nigerian Celebrities are also gay and they are hiding it. #LGBTQ

Gay men, Lesbian women, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex people live in Nigeria, they take the same buses with you, go to churches and mosque with you, eat the same food you eat and share clippers with you.

If they are worst than human then you should not allow men to make your hair, in the saloon you go to some of them are gays.

There is a gross misunderstanding of what a gay person his or look like, here I am. Use me as a representation, I am not an illiterate, I am not a pagan, I am not a vegan neither am I a beggar. I am not a ritualist, Drug dealer or prostitute. I am a human being born and raised around family members who have kids.

I grew up in Warri Nigeria, where Masculinity is a norm, so many men who claim to be strong and masculine with big voices are also gay, it is not dictated by looks, cross dressing is not being gay, acting feminine does not make you gay.

What makes you gay is having affectionate feelings towards same sex. I will take time and effort to complete this project I am starting. Use #edafeisgay to educate people on what is like to be gay in Nigeria and around the world.

Celebs Out & About: Michael Jackson’s Son Bigi Jackson is All Grown Up

Michael Jackson's youngest son Prince Michael Jackson II was spotted out and about with his young cousins, a bodyguard, and Omer Bhatti, a 33-year-old Norwegian man who has long claimed to be Michael's "secret son."

Bigi, who turns 17 in February, is seen leaving a Barnes and Nobles bookstore near the Calabasas homes of his grandmother, Katherine Jackson, and his older brother, Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., aka Prince, 21.

Bigi's net worth is said to be $100 million.

Bigi, Prince and their sister Paris Jackson, 20, were conceived via in vitro fertilization.

Prince and Paris's surrogate mother is Michael's longtime friend Deborah Rowe, but the identity of their biological father is unclear. Also unknown are the identities of Bigi's biological parents.

For most of his childhood, Bigi was nicknamed "Blanket" by his father, who often nicknamed his loved ones and friends after inanimate objects.

Omer (pictured far right carrying one of Bigi's cousins) claimed to be a descendant of the King of Pop, but his claim was rejected by Michael's estate.

Omer still insists he is Michael's son. He once lived with Michael at Neverland Ranch when he was a teen, and he remains close friends with the Jackson family today.

Gallup Poll: Michelle Obama Named Most Admired Woman for the First Time

Michelle Obama has ended Hillary Clinton's run as Gallup's most admired woman in America. Former President Barack Obama retains his title as Gallup's most admired man for the 11th year in a row.

For the first time in 17 years, Hillary Clinton is not the most admired woman in America, according to respondents polled for Gallup's annual survey, conducted Dec. 3-12.

Mrs Obama was most admired by 15 percent of those polled, while her husband Barack was the most admired man by 19% of those polled.

Clinton who finished first 22 straight times  more than any man or woman  finished second on three occasions and third once (this year), according to Gallup.

President Donald Trump was named #2 most admired man in the country. This marks the 13th time that a sitting president didn't win the top spot for most admired man.

Oprah Winfrey, who finished at #2 for most admired woman, was mentioned for the 31st time in the poll. Oprah has never finished 1st in the poll.

Britain's Queen Elizabeth was mentioned in the top 10 of the Gallup poll for the 50th straight time. Gallup first asked the questions in 1946.

The rankings are based on the total number of responses.

I am not a feminist, women are not kings – Annie Idibia says

Nollywood actress and 2baba’s wige, Annie Idibia just said that she is not a feminist and doesn’t believe women are kings.

The actress said this while weighing in on the gender equality debate.

She said;

“Nah, not really. I believe in women power. I believe men are still kings and women are queen,” said the actress, adding, “personally, I’m sorry I’m not trying to [insult?] anybody here but I don’t believe a woman is a king. I believe she is a queen.”

When asked what her definition of feminism is, she defined it as ‘rescuing oneself’.

The video has riled the internet, with many critics noting that the actress obviously has no idea what feminism is about.

The Makun brothers & their wives release beautiful Christmas photos.

It is public knowledge that comedian, AY Makun is very close to his brothers and once in a while, they do things together to strengthen their relationship.

NYSC cancels Davido’s one year service

Nigerian popstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC, has cancelled his one-year orientation exercise.

The ‘Fall’ singer made the claim in a comment on Instagram.

He was reacting to a post made by Nigerian music promoter, Adesegun Adeosun, popularly known as Smade who just finished his three-week NYSC orientation program, and got a letter of recommendation.

Davido wrote, “Naso dem cancel my own.”

 

The 26-year-old singer, who graduated from Babcock University in 2015 after studying music, had registered for NYSC in 2018 Batch ‘B’ stream II corp members who were sworn in on August 30.

The NYSC programme is mandatory for all graduates to qualify for gainful employment in Nigeria.

Speaking on why he registered for the scheme, Davido said he was tying all loose ends.

“I am a youth and I am delighted to serve my fatherland,” he said at his swearing-in ceremony.

“NYSC is also a leadership development programme and since I will not remain a youth forever, I have to start preparing myself for the future.”

After promising to take part in all camp activities, the ‘FIA’ singer cancelled his US tour that was scheduled to hold in September for NYSC commitments.

“Due to scheduling conflicts and NYSC commitments in Nigeria, the remaining dates for the Davido Locked Up Tour has been cancelled. Refunds will be made available at point of purchase.”

There had been questions if the singer broke NYSC bye-laws by campaigning for his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, during the Osun governorship elections.

There has been no official statement from the scheme disputing or confirming the action.

Meet Michael Boulos the wealthy Nigerian dating Tiffany Trump.

On Thursday, we reported that President Donald Trump's youngest daughter is dating Michael Boulos as reported by Sandra Rose.

So, what do we know about her new beau? According to the media outlet, Boulos is the heir to Boulos Enterprises and SCOA Nigeria, a multi billion-dollar trading conglomerate. While the wealthy businessman lives in London, he was born in Nigeria. 

So how did the lovebirds meet? According to Page Six's sources, the two met this summer while they were both on vacation in Mykonos, Greece. In fact, their relationship is reportedly going so well that she's rumored to have brought Boulos to Mar-a-Lago for Thanksgiving. 

"Tiffany is happy she has so far been able to keep things with Michael under the radar," the insider told Page Six. "But she introduced him to her family at Thanksgiving, and he comes across as a very intelligent young man from a great family." 

News of the speculated relationship has reminded people of the time the president once reportedly called Haiti and African nations "s--thole countries during a meeting at the White House. Nigeria's foreign minister, Geoffrey Onyeama, called the alleged comments "deeply hurtful, offensive and unacceptable."

While the commander-in-chief admitted the language he used at the time was "tough," he denied using that phrase. He also later complimented the country and described its beauty.

According the aforementioned source, the reported comment did not come up during Boulos visit with the Trumps on Thanksgiving.

"There was no mention of the president's unfortunate comment about African nations," the insider said. 

Tiffany previously dated Ross Mechanic. News of their split broke in March.
