Buhari To Attend Commonwealth, UN Climate Change Meetings In Malta.

President Muhammadu Buhari will leave Abuja on Thursday for Malta to participate in the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which begins on Friday.

Nigerian Gay Man Granted Asylum In Malta.

An 18-year-old Nigerian migrant has been granted asylum in Malta due to persecution in his home country over his homosexuality, the first time asylum has been granted on these grounds in Malta.

Consensual homosexual conduct is punishable by up to 14-years in prison under Nigeria’s federal criminal code.
