Cregital Attempts Re-branding UBA’s Identity .





UBA is one of the oldest banks in Nigeria, which is why it holds a lot of sentimental value amongst Nigerians. Inspired by the number of banks in Nigeria that have recently changed up their brand identity, we at Cregital Design Agency, decided it was a good idea to try rebranding one of Nigerias foremost bank

 

Its important to note that Cregital not commissioned by UBA to take on this project

 

UBA is known widely as being trustworthy and committed to pushing boundaries through innovation. This made them a good candidate for our bank rebranding attempts. At UBAs core, they are committed to being Africas bank; and because of their merger with Standard Chartered Bank, UBAs logo currently has the S’ symbol to signify this.

 

When conceptualising UBAs new identity, we designed it to succinctly position UBA as an industry giant that has successfully crossed the boundaries of border and culture to meet the specific needs of Africans across the continent.


We changed the brands colours as well as the icon to give UBA a richer and more appealing look on both digital and print. With this rebrand, we 


believe UBA is greatly positioned as a forward thinking bank.
