In a bid to end Nigeria’s present and future economic crises, the Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) unveiled Support Made-in-Nigeria Products Campaign in the organization’s head office in Lagos yesterday. The Campaign was unveiled by YEN National President Chris Kohol and 1st National Vice President Nwando Isabella in attendance with many entrepreneurs and other dignitaries. The cardinal points of the campaign are to enlighten, stimulate, encourage and ignite the minds of Nigerians to support, promote and buy Nigerian products, taking into cognizance of the loads of economic importance and benefits.

The Support Made-In-Nigeria Products Campaign is an initiative of Young Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (YEN) to educate and encourage Nigerian consumers on the enormous importance of buying Made-In-Nigeria products and the need to support the new Government’s industrial revolution plan. The campaign is also aimed at influencing the Government of the day to support Made-in-Nigeria products by empowering local manufacturers and enacting policies that favour local contents.

Kad State Govt, Bank Of Industry & Kad.Bus.School Launches ''Kaduna Start-Up & Entrepreneurship Programme''.

Kaduna State Government in partnership with the Kaduna Business School and the Bank of Industry has  launched the Kaduna Start-up & Entrepreneurship Programme (KADSTEP).The programme was launched on Feb 3 2016.

KADSTEP hopes to empower at least 20,000 youths in 4 years through rigorous entrepreneurship training, and also aims to create 3,500 new businesses across the 23 local governments in the state.
The 300 students being inducted today have a chance of getting up to N10 million funding upon attaining a 2.75 CGPA after the 10 weeks training.See pictures from the event.

CBN To Support Young Graduates With MSMEs.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will support young graduates who own Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs). The initiative ill target one million young graduate entrepreneurs.
The Ibadan Branch Controller Alhaji Folorunso Olatinwo spoke at the weekend at the Ibadan Bankers’ Commitee’s end of the year party held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Represented by the Head of Banking Section, Alhaji Muhammed Musa, Olatinwo said the programme will be different from the N220 billion MSMEs development fund launched earlier.He appealed to the Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), and other financial institutions to support the initiative.

Skye Bank trains 20 women entrepreneurs on sustainable business

Skye Bank Plc has trained 20 women entrepreneurs on how to lead sustainable businesses, under its Skye Pear initiative.According to the bank, the programme was scripted to assist women run their businesses efficiently, profitably and professionally.
The Regional Director, Greater Ikeja Region, Skye Bank, Ndubuisi Osakwe, said the training was to help build capacity for women in business and equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in business.

President Obama Appoints 34 Year Old Nigerian, Adewale Adeyemo As Deputy National Security Adviser.

President Barack Obama has tapped Adewale “Wally” Adeyemo, who served in top roles at the Treasury Department, to succeed Caroline Atkinson as his deputy national security adviser for international economic affairs.
Ms. Atkinson has served in her current post since June 2013, a position that includes coordinating U.S. participation in the annual summits of the Group of 20 and Group of Seven countries. Ms. Atkinson also played key roles in the recently concluded climate negotiations in Paris and in pushing the White House’s trade agenda, including the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade agreement.
