Hollywood Reporter Names Mo Abudu, One Of 25 Most Powerful Women In Global TV.




EbonyLife TV founder Mo Abudu has just been named as one of the 25 most powerful women in Global TV by The Hollywood Reporter. The list comprises of women who oversee empires, green-light shows that captivate millions and adapt to a rapidly changing media environment.

Africa’s answer to Oprah, Nigerian media entrepreneur and self-taught TV host Abudu launched the continent’s first syndicated talk show, Moments With Mo, in 2006. Featuring guests as varied as Hillary Clinton, fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and IMF boss Christine Lagarde, Moments is carried across 48 African countries.
Abudu this year launched EbonyLife TV, Africa’s first continent-wide broadcaster, targeting Africa’s growing, aspirational middle class with programming that “celebrates style and success while motivating its audiences to dream and dream big,” Abudu says.

Mo’Abudu Covers TW Magazine’s latest issue





Mo’ Abudu is on the cover of TW’s September 2013 issue. The media mogul recently launched her TV station Ebony Life, which is set to change the world’s perception of Africa. The magazine also features Ghanaian heartthrob Chris Attoh, who talks about starting his own family, moving from Ghana to Nigeria to pursue his acting dreams & his successful transition from actor to director/screen writer, with his recent movie “Devoted”

Singer/song writer Ese Peters whose mission is to change the world one song at a time also features in this edition alongside Dolapo Ogunwole, a spoken-word poet, singer/songwriter & actor. Renowned gynaecologist, Dr. Bosede Afolabi sheds some light on gynecological cancers, as TW joins the world this September on a Globeathon to fight women’s below the belt cancers.
