Celebrities and CEOs step out for UBA CEO Awards in Lagos.




The 9th edition of the annual UBA CEO Awards held Saturday night in Lagos where the stars and CEOs (of course) showed up in style, including Tony Elumelu and his beautiful wife Awele.
Bellanaija reports that The awards were given to star performers of the bank for their exemplary performance, in Nigeria and beyond.
Guests included international African singers TanzanianVanessa Mdee, Ghanaian Efya, Waje, Ikechukwu, Yemi Alade,actor Frank Donga (Kunle Idowu), designer Ayo van Elmar, host of The Sauce – Seyitan, Tomi Odunsi and more.

Tony Elumelu Appointed Chairman Of U.B.A.



Tony Elumelu has been appointed as the new chairman of the board of directors for UBA. He is an economist, banker, investor and philanthropist; he is also the Chairman of both Heirs Holdings and Transcorp Plc. Mr. Elumelu believes that there is much in store for UBA shareholders.

Tony Elumelu Foundation DonatesN100 million Towards EbolaContainment and Relief AcrossWest Africa




With the recent outbreak of the Ebola virus in West Africa and now in Nigeria,business leader Tony O. Elumelu through his Tony Elumelu Foundation has pledged N100million towards the containment and relief efforts of this deadly disease across Africa.
The N100 million donation from the Tony Elumelu Foundation will be used to paramedicals and the general response in allf our countries. N50 million will go directly to Mr. Elumelu’s home country of Nigeria,while the remaining N50 million will be distributed to the governments of Sierra Leone,Guinea, and Liberia to support their efforts.
