ITALY ORDERS NORTH KOREAN AMBASSADOR TO GO HOME

Italy has ordered North Korea’s incoming new ambassador to leave the country in a protest over Kim Jong-Un’s missile launches and nuclear tests.

Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano announced the move in an interview with Italian daily La Repubblica, published on Sunday.

“We have taken the firm decision to interrupt the accreditation procedure. The ambassador will have to leave the country,” Alfano said.

“We want to make Pyongyang understand that isolation is inevitable if it does not change course.”

Alfano stressed however that Italy was not breaking off diplomatic relations, “because it can always be useful to maintain a channel of communications.”

North Korea nominated long-serving foreign ministry official Mun Jong-Nam as its new ambassador to Rome in July, filling a post that had been vacant for over a year, according to South Korean reports. The diplomat had started working in Rome but not completed his registration with the Italian authorities.

The Italian move came as the international community seeks to ratchet up pressure on Kim’s regime to give up its nuclear weapons, with China notably agreeing to limit oil exports to and textile imports to its neighbour from Sunday.

'YOU VOTED AGAINST YOUR OWN VOICE', MICHELLE OBAMA MOCKS WOMEN WHO VOTED FOR TRUMP

Michelle Obama has a few candid words for women who chose to vote against Hillary Clinton in favour of Donald Trump in the 2016 election.

The beloved former First Lady was clear and direct as she spoke on the topic during an appearance at the Inbound 2017 conference in Boston, where she expressed confusion at the choice of women who opted to vote in favour of Trump.

“Any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice,” she said.

“What does it mean for us as women that we look at those two candidates, as women, and many of us said, ‘That guy, he’s better for me, his voice is more true to me.’

“Well, to me, that just says you don’t like your voice. You like the thing you’re told to like.”

Mrs. Obama also weighed in on the job Donald Trump is doing as President, emphasising that at the end of the day, she hopes he is successful at his job and is treated better by his political peers than President Obama was during his two terms in office.

“We want the sitting President to be successful because we live in this country,” she added.

“He is our commander in chief, he was voted in. When you’ve been in that position, you see that most former (presidents) do take a step back, they do let the current holder of the office lead.

“You do step up when you’re asked, and you do try to make sure what you say is constructive.

“Now, like I said, there was a whole party that didn’t do that for my husband, a whole political party that did not, but what we’ve learned as part of our legacy is leading with grace.”

Lastly, Mrs. Obama noted that despite consistent opposition from the GOP during his entire time in office, President Barack Obama will never stoop to the same low measures as Trump now that the shoe is on the other foot.

“Barack is not going to turn into what this President was, which is somebody tweeting in the wind and stirring up mess without really knowing what they’re talking about.”

No obvious signs of torture on American held by NKorea: coroner

Otto Warmbier, the American student who died days after being released from North Korea in a coma, displayed no obvious signs of torture despite assertions by his parents and President Donald Trump, an Ohio medical examiner said Wednesday.

The coroner said the 22-year-old, who had been sentenced to 15 years hard labor while visiting the reclusive country, had suffered brain damage caused by the lack of oxygen to the brain.

Coroner Lakshmi Sammarco could not say what caused the injury.

The revelations came a day after Warmbier's parents and Trump accused the reclusive regime of torturing the young man, who had been convicted of trying to steal a propaganda poster from a Pyongyang hotel.

The parents, in a series of TV interviews Tuesday, said their son showed signs of torture, including teeth that appeared to have been "rearranged," and hands and feet that were disfigured.

"They kidnapped Otto, they tortured him, they intentionally injured him. They are not victims, they are terrorists," Fred Warmbier said on the program "Fox and Friends."

After the airing of the interview, Trump for the first time accused North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un's regime of torturing Warmbier.

Trump called the parents' interview with Fox "great" and said: "Otto was tortured beyond belief by North Korea."

But Sammarco, who examined Warmbier's body after his death in June, said there was no clear evidence of physical torture -- including no recently broken bones or damaged teeth.

"We don't know what happened to him. That's the bottom line," she said. "We're never going to know, unless the people who were there come forward and say, 'This is what happened to Otto.'"

Warmbier's body displayed only a few small scars, all but one of which could be traced to medical instruments, she said, adding that the Warmbiers' TV interviews had prompted her to publicly reveal her findings.

"They're grieving parents. I can't really make comments on their perceptions," she added.

Three Americans accused of various crimes against the state are behind bars in the North, which is engaged in a tense standoff with the Trump administration over its banned missile and nuclear weapons programs.

KENYAN SUPREME COURT NULLIFIES KENYAN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.

Kenya’ s Supreme Court on Friday declared the results of last month ’ s presidential poll “ invalid , null and void ” and ordered the election be re -run within 60 days.

“ The presidential election held on August 8 was not conducted in accordance with the constitution, ” said Chief Justice David Maraga, ruling in favour of the opposition which challenged the declaration of President Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner .

Maraga said this was a majority decision , with two judges dissenting .

The shock ruling was a rare example of a poll result being overturned , with Maraga saying the election commission (IEBC ) “failed , neglected or refused to conduct the presidential election in a manner consistent with the dictates of the constitution” .

He validated opposition leader Raila Odinga ’ s argument that there had been “ irregularities and illegalities ” , notably in the transmission of election results .

Maraga said this had compromised the “integrity of the entire presidential election” .

PHILIPPINE'S PRESIDENT ORDERS POLICE TO KILL ANY 'IDIOT' WHO RESISTS ARREST

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte told police on Monday that they could kill "idiots" who violently resist arrest. He made this announcement just Two days after hundreds of people turned the funeral of a slain teenager into a protest against his deadly war on drugs.

The killing of schoolboy, 17 year old Kian Loyd delos Santos by anti-drugs officers on Aug 16 sparked a rare public outrage.

More than 1,000 people, including nuns, priests and hundreds of children, joined a funeral procession on Saturday for the teenager, turning the march into one of the biggest protests against Duterte's anti-drugs campaign.

According to witnesses, Delos Santos was dragged by plain-clothes policemen to a dark, trash-filled alley in northern Manila before he was shot in the head and left next to a pigsty. The account of this event by witnesses, appeared to be backed up by CCTV footage released online.

Police say they acted in self defense after delos Santos opened fire on them.

Duterte's spokesman and the justice minister have described the killing of the teenager as an "isolated" case.

Duterte broke off midway through a prepared speech at the Hero's Cemetery on the outskirts of Manila and addressed impromptu comments to Jovie Espenido, the police chief of a town in the south where the mayor was killed in an anti-drugs raid.

He said:

"Your duty requires you to overcome the resistance of the person you are arresting... (if) he resists, and it is a violent one... you are free to kill the idiots, that is my order to you,"

Duterte added that "murder and homicide and unlawful killings" were not allowed and that police had to uphold the rule of law while carrying out their duties.

Duterte unleashed the anti-drugs war after taking office in June last year following an election campaign in which he vowed to use deadly force to wipe out crime and drugs.

#AngolaDecides: Defense Minister Joao Lourenco declared winner of Angola poll

Angola’s MPLA party has claimed a widely expected election victory, setting the stage for a change of leadership since 1979. The victory means Defense Minister Joao Lourenco will be the country’s next president after being picked by the party to replace President Jose Eduardo dos Santos, who is stepping down after leading Angola for the past 38 years.

The National Electoral Commission said Friday that MPLA received just over 61 percent of the vote in Wednesday’s election The main opposition UNITA party came in second with 26.7 percent.

UNITA had questioned earlier provisional results, saying their independent tallies gave them a greater share of the vote but the party has not decided whether it will challenge the results in court.

Despite its commanding victory, MPLA’s share of the vote was significantly lower than in its previous victories. In the 2008 election, the party won 82 percent the vote. In the last election in 2012, the party received 72 percent.

The MPLA has been accused in recent times of plundering state resources in the oil-rich nation. During the campaign, opposition parties accused the ruling party of using government resources for campaigning.

The MPLA has however denied irregularities, and observers have largely praised the poll for being peaceful and orderly.

Unbelievable: This Man Bought a Rope and Helped His Friend to Kill Herself While Recording It On Phone

A young man is being brought to book after allegedly buying a rope and helping his own friend kill herself inside the bush.

An 18-year-old man identified as Tyerell Przybycien is accused of helping a girl commit suicide while he recorded it on his phone.

According to Metro UK, prosecutors say the young man bought rope and drove Jchandra Brown, 16, to a place where she could hang herself in Payson, Utah, on May 6.

He has been charged with murder.

Police searching the area found Przybycien crying on a nearby trail, reports deseretnews.com.

Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Josh Chaplin told the court how Przybycien asked if he wanted to hear ‘the whole story’.

He then explained how he had picked up his friend the previous night and taken her to the scene of her suicide.

Chaplin said: ‘Based on what he had told me, he had witnessed a traumatic event, and I was concerned. I wondered if we needed to get him help.’

The sergeant initially didn’t believe he was a suspect in the case.

He drove him back to the police department because he was concerned about his safety. While he was being interviewed, Chaplin got word from a detective that there was a video of the death on a phone near to where Brown’s body was found.

A note was discovered next to it that read: ‘Watch the video, it’s on my phone.’

The court heard how the ten-minute video was being filmed by Przybycien. In it, he can allegedly be heard asking Brown to move. At one point he says: ‘Thumbs up if you’re OK.’

When she is no longer struggling, he adds: ‘That’s when the brain stops getting any oxygen… I guess I’ll just leave this here now.’

LUCKY MOTHER OF TWO WINS $758.7 MILLION JACKPOT

53-year-old Massachusetts mother of two on Thursday came forward to claim the largest single jackpot win in US history — $758.7m — and promptly quit her job of 32 years at a hospital.

Mavis Wanczyk said she played the lottery as a “pipe dream,” never believing that it would one day be possible for her to retire early from the Mercy Medical Centre, where she has worked for decades.

On Thursday, that dream came true.

“I’ve called up and told them I will not be coming back,” she said to laughter at a news conference hosted by the Massachusetts State Lottery.

“I’m going to go hide in my bed!” she added when asked how she planned to celebrate, wearing black-framed spectacles, a zip-up hooded black sweater over a grey lace top, necklace and shoulder-length thick auburn hair.

Wanczyk selected the winning numbers — including a blend of family birthdays — and bought the ticket from a convenience store in Chicopee, a small town 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of Boston, calling it “a chance I had to take.”

“I was there just to buy it for luck,” she explained, chewing gum and grinning. Accompanied to the news conference by her mother and two sisters, she was still dazed after her monumental win.

Powerball called Wednesday’s draw “the highest jackpot won on a single ticket and the biggest lottery prize ever awarded to one single person.”

She now has the choice of taking the jackpot as an annuity spread over 30 years or a one-off cash lump sum of $480.5 million, depending on state taxes.

“First thing, I just want to sit back and relax,” Wanczyk said.

She said she found out she had won from a colleague when they were leaving work overnight and promptly went into shock.

“I couldn’t drive anywhere, I couldn’t do anything,” she said. “So he followed me actually to make sure I was safely home.”

“Now it’s like, ‘I am a winner, and I’m scared, but I’ll be ok.”

Wanczyk, who has a 31-year-old daughter and 26-year-old son, said she has previously been “OK” financially and had yet to work out how to spend her millions, other than paying off the car she bought last year.

She said she now wanted to be alone to “figure out what I want to do.”

While she could have remained anonymous, she said she came forward so quickly because she wanted to “get it over,” hoping that everybody would leave her alone.

The $758.7m jackpot is Powerball’s highest since a January 2016 world record of $1.6bn, which was split between three ticket holders from California, Florida and Tennessee. Each took home $528.8m.

EVIL FATHER KILLS SON TO PUNISH WIFE

A California man Aramazd Andressian, has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for killing his 5-year-old son just to get back at his wife.

Investigators said Andressian admitted killing his son which necessitated his estranged wife damning him to hell during the hearing Los Angeles County Superior Court.

“I hope you relive the image of murdering my baby every day of your insignificant life,” Ana Estevez said. “May your dark soul burn in eternal hell.”

She also called her husband a failure as a father, a man and a human being.

“There is no real pain, just an incomprehensible deadness. Like my son, I, too, have died,” she said.

Andressian, Sr., 35, pleaded guilty earlier this month in Los Angeles County Superior Court to first-degree murder in the April death of his son, Aramazd Andressian, Jr., after a family trip to Disneyland.

Andressian pleaded guilty partly to avoid the possibility of prosecutors adding a charge that could result in the death penalty, his attorney has said.

The father did not speak during sentencing in the suburban Alhambra branch court, Fox 11 reported.

Sheriff’s investigators said the boy apparently was killed on April 21. His father was found passed out in a park the next morning, sparking an intensive search for the boy.

Andressian had taken prescription pills and was found in a car doused in gasoline in an apparent suicide attempt, sheriff’s officials have said.

Investigators searched for more than two months before they found the boy’s body on June 30 near Lake Cachuma outside Santa Barbara, about 145 miles away from Anaheim, where Disneyland is located.

Prosecutors have not revealed how the boy was killed but said the evidence against Andressian is overwhelming and the killing was planned and deliberate.

Andressian’s attorney, Ambrosio Rodriguez, repeatedly has declined to comment when asked why Andressian killed his son but has said the killing was “not planned.”

Rodriguez has said his client told investigators where to find his son’s remains and regrets killing the boy.

A report by the county Department of Children and Family Services, obtained by The Associated Press, showed that the boy’s skeletal remains were found in a wooded area in Santa Ynez.

The report described the boy as being the victim of “physical and severe neglect.”

I WILL MAKE KIM JONG-UN REGRET HIS ACTIONS FAST - TRUMP THREATENS NORTH KOREA

U.S President Donald Trump has issued a 'new red line' concerning the ongoing war rhetoric between the White House and Pyongyang, saying North Korea's supreme leader Kim Jong-Un will not get away with his threats towards the United States and that if he makes one more threat towards the United States, Guam or allies of the United States, he'll regret it fast.

The warning came a few hours after an early morning tweet from the U.S president saying US military options were “locked and loaded” for use if Pyongyang “acted unwisely”- further creating more tensions among citizens within the Korean peninsula.

North Korean warned it will launch four missiles at the waters around US Pacific territory of Guam if Trump continues to threaten the safety of the North Korean government to which Trump responded by saying the U.S will respond with 'fear and fury'.

Trump stood by his words when asked about them at his golf resort in New Jersey on Friday evening.

“I hope they are going to fully understand the gravity of what I said, and what I said is what I mean,” Trump said. “Those words are very, very easy to understand.”

“If somebody else uttered the exact same words that I uttered, they’d say: ‘What a great statement, what a wonderful statement,’” Trump said. “But I will tell you, we have tens of millions of people in this country that are so happy with what I am saying, because they say, ‘Finally, we have a president that’s sticking up for our nation and frankly, sticking up for our friends and our allies.’”

He then issued an ultimatum to Kim Jong-un himself. “This man will not get away with what he’s doing,” he said. “If he utters one threat in form of overt threat – which, by the way, he’s been uttering for years – or if he does anything in respect to Guam or anyplace else that’s an American territory or an American ally, he will truly regret it.”

“We want to talk about a country that has misbehaved for many many years – decades, actually – through numerous administrations, and they didn’t want to take on the issue and I had no choice but to take it on, and I’m taking it on. And we’ll either be very, very successful quickly or we’re going to be very, very successful in a different way, quickly.”

MOTHER DEFEATS SON IN KENYA ELECTION

A Kenyan female politician showed her son that she was not only older than him in age, she is also more experienced and more popular politically.

Kipng’etich Kones, the son of a late Cabinet Minister Kipkalya Kones, who ran in the Kenyan parliamentary election lost to his mother, Beatrice Kones.

Beatrice Kone beat her son and seven other contestants when she polled 22,796 votes against her son’s 2,410 votes.

Kipng’etich who contested on a Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) ticket got a lot of support from outgoing Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto, while his mother contested on a Jubilee Party ticket.

Many residents of Bomet East, the constituency of the family, said the family battle was not blessed. Others said the rivalry was a depiction of democracy and showed maturity as far as politics is concerned.

According to Kenyan news website, Daily Nation, the area overwhelmingly voted for Jubilee and it might be a reason why Kones lost to his mum.

It was one of the most watched duels in the elections since it pitted members of a nuclear family and the outcome was eagerly awaited.

One of the residents of the area was quoted by a local daily saying the result should be a lesson to all young people.

“You can never rise against your parent, especially your mother and expect to succeed. When my mother speaks I go down on my knees,” said Hezron Tangus, a Bomet East resident.

A political analyst and lecturer at Laikipia University said it was culturally suicidal to compete against one’s mother.

[PHOTOS]: Man sues Heineken, says he found 2 dead lizards in his beer

A Fountain Valley man is suing Heineken and The Kroger Co after he allegedly found two dead geckos lizards in a can beer he bought at a local Ralphs supermarket.

A lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court on Friday, George Toubbeh alleges he suffered severe abdominal pain in August 2015 after he drank from a 24-ounce Heineken he bought from a Ralphs chain owned by Ohio-based Kroger in Fountain Valley,

According to the suit, Toubbeh said he noticed that the beer had a foul taste and he immediately began having abdominal pain and started vomiting. His daughter examined the can of beer and found two juvenile leopard geckos inside, the suit states. Geckos are a type of lizard.

“When discovered, the geckos had not been decomposed at all and were likely alive when the beer was poured and sealed into the cans in the bottling and/or canning facility,” the lawsuit states.

Toubbeh claimed he went to the emergency room at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and was prescribed Xanax, a sedative, and Zofran, which helps treat nausea and vomiting.

The suit says he continued to suffer from severe gastrointestinal ailments, emotional distress, and anxiety and missed several weeks of work as a result.

Reacting to the lawsuit, the Heineken USA, a subsidiary of the Dutch brewing company in a statement rubbished the claims saying it “holds the safety and integrity of the products we import to the highest standards. We have investigated this isolated claim, and based on a number of factors, we confidently believe there is no merit to this claim.”

Toubbeh’s attorney, John Montevideo, said his law firm, DiMarco Araujo Montevideo, independently examined the beer can and had the geckos evaluated by a zoologist.
“We feel the action is meritorious and viable,” he said.

According to LA Times, Toubbeh is seeking unspecified general damages, medical expenses, lost earnings and the cost of the lawsuit.

U.K TEAMS UP WITH U.S AGAINST NORTH KOREA

Donald Trump of the U.S and Theresa May of the U.K

The United Kingdom says it support the warning by President Donald Trump to return “fire and fury” against North Korea if it continued to threaten the U.S. with nuclear attacks.

Amb. Matthew Rycroft, UK Permanent Representative to the UN, told UN Correspondents on Wednesday after a meeting of the Security Council that both countries were united against North Korea over its nuclear threats.

“The United Kingdom stands shoulder to shoulder with the United States in tackling this threat and many others.

“We are united in calling on the North Korean regime to halt its nuclear programme.

“The whole of the Security Council has come together behind that and I think that we should see the President’s public comments as one of the many strands of US activism,’’ the British envoy said.

Rycroft pledged that the UK would continue to work closely with the United States and its international partners to ensure that the DPRK is not able to pursue its nuclear and intercontinental ballistic missile programmes.

“The United States has been very clear about its position.
“The United Kingdom has been very clear about our position and we call on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s regime to listen to that clarity.

“We call on DPRK to act on that clarity, to halt its nuclear programme; to halt its intercontinental ballistic missile programme, and it holds the key to sanctions being removed,” Rycroft said.

On Tuesday, North Korea’s state media said the country was considering a strategy to strike the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam with mid-to long-range missiles.

Trump had responded with a strong warning: “North Korea should not make any more threats to the United States.

“They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.
“He has been very threatening and as I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before,” Trump warned.

North Korea says Trump talks “a load of nonsense’

North Korea has called President Donald Trump’s warning of “fire and fury” a “load of nonsense” and threatened to go ahead with its plans for a missile strike near the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam

Pyongyang’s state-run KCNA news agency issued an update on its strike plans after Trump’s incendiary comments on Tuesday that threats to the United States from Pyongyang would be met with “fire and fury.”

Trump’s unexpected remarks prompted North Korea to say it was considering plans to fire four intermediate-range missiles to land 30-40 kilometers (18-25 miles) from Guam, home to about 163,000 people and a U.S. military base that includes a submarine squadron, an air base and a Coast Guard group.

The army will complete its plans in mid-August, ready for North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s order, KCNA said on Wednesday, citing General Kim Rak Gyom, commander of the Strategic Force of the Korean People’s Army.

The news agency said Trump “let out a load of nonsense about ‘fire and fury’,” adding “sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him.”

On global markets, the strong rhetoric and sharp increase in tensions drove investors out of stocks and other risky assets on Wednesday and into textbook safe havens like gold and Treasuries.

U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis issued a stark warning earlier on Wednesday, telling Pyongyang the United States and its allies would win any arms race or conflict.

“The DPRK should cease any consideration of actions that would lead to the end of its regime and the destruction of its people,” Mattis said in a statement, using the acronym for North Korea’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

The United States and South Korea remain technically still at war with North Korea after the 1950-53 Korean conflict ended with a truce, not a peace treaty. North Korea regularly threatens to destroy the United States.

KENYA POLICE, PROTESTERS CLASH AFTER POLL FRAUD CLAIM

Kenyan police have fired tear gas and shot at a group of chanting supporters of opposition leader Raila Odinga after the presidential candidate claimed “massive” fraud in this week’s elections.

Leonard Katana, a regional police commander, said Wednesday’s shooting took place when protesters clashed with security forces in South Mugirango constituency in Kisii County, the Associated Press reported, adding that one person was killed in the incident.

Earlier, Odinga rejected the partial results of Tuesday’s presidential polls, saying hackers infiltrated the database of Kenya’s election body to manipulate the “democratic process”.
The opposition leader said that he could not reveal his sources on how he got the information on the alleged hacking.

In a press briefing that took place in the capital Nairobi, the presidential candidate said his party’s results are “completely different” from those published on election commission website.

The contest between President Uhuru Kenyatta, a wealthy 55-year-old businessman, and Odinga, 72, a former political prisoner and son of Kenya’s first vice president, has been a hard-fought election that stoked fears of possible violence.

On Wednesday morning, the election commission website showed Kenyatta leading with 54.4 percent of the votes against 44.8 percent for Odinga, a margin of nearly 1.4 million votes, after 94 percent of the votes were counted.

Raphael Tunju, secretary-general of Kenyatta’s Jubilee party, earlier shrugged off the fraud allegations made by the Odinga camp.

“I don’t expect anything else from NASA,” he said, referring to Odinga’s National Super Alliance party.

“Let’s put it this way, if the results which are being streamed showed that they were leading what would they be saying now?”

Election officials on Tuesday acknowledged the opposition objection, but defended their actions.

“We believe that by displaying results, we have been doing well to enhance transparency and accountability in the electoral process, consistent with the commitment the commission has made to the Kenya people,” said commissioner Consalata Bucha Nkatha Maina, vice chairwoman of the election commission.

The commission’s CEO, Ezra Chiloba, also said a results screen at the commission’s counting centre had frozen because too much data was being received, and that tallies would be updated later Wednesday morning.

During the 2013 polls, Odinga alleged fraud, but quelled unrest by taking his complaints to the courts.

This time, the government deployed more than 150,000 security personnel, including wildlife rangers, to protect 41,000 polling stations.

Man catches wife, boyfriend on family bed, shoots them dead

A man has been charged with murder after shooting dead his naked wife and her lover when he caught the pair having sex.

Forty-two-year-old Juan Carlos Garcia is believed to have admitted to killing his 39-year-old wife, Sandra Castellanos, and her 35-year-old boyfriend Noe Gomez, at their family home in Atlantico, Colombia.

The security guard suspected his wife was having an affair while he was working night shifts and planned a trap to “catch her with her hands in the dough,” according to police.

The couple’s three children were sleeping in the house when Garcia allegedly pulled a handgun on the couple, shooting them at around 9pm on August 4.

Garcia was tipped off about the couple’s secret tryst by neighbours and pretended to go to work so he could catch Castellanos and Gomez in the act.

Garcia reportedly stayed at a friends house and called his wife at around 9pm to check on the children. He burst into the family home moments later, catching the lovers in the act.

He was later arrested in what police called a “horrific crime of passion” in the Villa Maria area of Soledad, Colombia.

But even though police say the man handed himself in and confessed to his crimes, he did not show remorse.

He is believed to have told officers: “She was unfaithful and sullied my honour as a man. All I did was remove the woman who destroyed my life in this world.”

A police report said: “At 9.05pm Juan Carlos Garcia called his wife to ask about his three children, she answered the call and told him that they had gone to bed early because they had to leave for school.

“The suspect Juan Carlos Garcia found his wife making love with her lover. The husband was filled with anger and killed them both.
“He handed himself in to police and said that he did not feel sorry for what he had done.”

Police said Garcia had been remanded in custody and would face court hearings at a later date.

POLICE NAB THIEF WHO FELL ASLEEP WHILE STEALING

Police have arrested one Kayoni Sedekiya in Texas after he was caught sleeping at the crime scene.

A statement by the Police revealed that the 20-year-old from Abilene was armed with a gun at his apartment complex early Friday when he argued with his roommate, whom he tied up as he demanded £60.

Sedekiya then fell asleep, the Police revealed to New York Daily News.

The victim managed to get free around 4 a.m. before calling the police from a neighbour’s apartment while the gun-wielding suspect was still asleep. It was reported that Sedekiya surrendered without incident when the police came to take him away.

It was reported that Sedekiya was held in custody on Sunday on an aggravated robbery charge, with bond set at $60,000.

50 KILLED IN ETHNIC VIOLENCE IN EASTERN CONGO

More than 50 people have been killed in clashes between ethnic groups in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, three local aid workers said on Sunday, the largest death toll in fighting between the two groups for months.

Reuters said the violence raged across much of Congo this year, killing hundreds and displacing millions amid a political crisis caused by President Joseph Kabila’s refusal to step down when his constitutional mandate expired in December.

On Friday, a group of Twa pygmies attacked the Luba, a Bantu ethnic group, near Kalemi, in Tanganyika province, the aid workers said.

The pygmies, who live in Central Africa’s Great Lakes region, have fought the Luba for decades over what activists say are inequalities between Bantu villagers and the Twa hunter gatherers, are exclued from access to land and basic services.

“According to information gathered, there were about 50 deaths in the attack on the group,” Ilunga Musafiri, president of the local NGO Inter-church Council said.
A local activist said most of the casualties were Lubas.

U.N. officials are concerned that violence is spreading out of control in Congo with Kabila’s complicity. Critics have said he may use the insecurity as an excuse to delay elections.
A U.N. report last week found 251 killings took place in three months this year in the diamond-rich central Kasai region in violence that has involved child soldiers and witchcraft.

The number of people displaced in Congo has more than doubled to 3.7 million since August 2016, the U.N. said in May.
