Reasons why you don't need to die for any politician, before, during and after elections..... A must read for every one.

I saw this write up on Facebook and i love so am sharing it with my followers.

,I don't know who composed this but it really makes sense.

REASONS WHY YOU DON'T NEED TO DIE FOR ANY POLITICIAN BEFORE,DURING AND AFTER ELECTIONS :

1. In 2011, Governor Shekarau of Kano State contested for the Presidency on the platform of ANPP against EX- President Jonathan of PDP. So did Nuhu Ribadu of ACN {apc}. Ex Gov. Shekarau was a Minister in Ex-
President Jonathan's cabinet & a member of the President's party & Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is the PDP's candidate for governorship of Adamawa State. How many were killed because of them in 2011?

2. President Obasanjo and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu were thought to be sworn enemies. When President Obasanjo took over SW Nigeria in 2003,
Gov. Tinubu became "last man standing" against him in ACN/Lagos.Today, Obasanjo is Tinubu's "Navigator" & Tinubu is treasured guest at Obasanjo's birthday. How many died believing they were enemies?

3. Former Govs, Engr. Segun Oni and Dr. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti used to be political foes and now they belong to the same party. Both are alive as friends & some folks had died fighting for them.

4.Between 2007 and 2010, Tinubu spent virtually his last kobo to ensure he sent Segun Oni out of the Ekiti State Government House.

He did. Today, Oni is the National Vice Chair of APC, a party same Tinubu, not another one o, is the national leader.

5. Former. Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola never saw eye to eye with Governor Aregbesola. Now, they belong to the same party, some people died for both, but were they not always friends?

6. President Obasanjo was prepared to throw VP Atiku Abubakar out of Aso Rock. Who would have thought that Atiku would visit Obasanjo in
Otta farm after all the brouhaha; politicians belong to one big family. They have their interest at stake, do not die for them especially when you have nothing at stake.

7.Tinubu once told Obasanjo that he was the "problem of Nigeria". But same Tinubu went to Obasanjo that they had finished the construction of the opposition ship. They wanted him to be the navigator! The old fox readily accepted

8. Audu Ogbe once told opposition parties there was no vacancy in Aso Rock. He was national chair of the ruling PDP then. Today, he is a minister under a government being controlled by that same opposition.

9.Nasir el-Rufai, the diminutive governor of Kaduna State, once told Buhari that he was not a presidential material. Today, not only is Buhari president but the loquacious el-Rufai is a governor on Buhari's party. He bashes PDP to no end nowadays.

10. Fayose and Fayemi once mounted same rostrum, campaigning in Ekiti with Fayose carrying placard at his father's burial in 2009 that they should vote for Fayemi. In 2014, same Fayose contested against Fayemi and sent him to the Former Governors' Club.

11. Majority of top politicians shouting 'APC, Change!' were shouting 'PDP, Power!' in 2011!
Now, all these took place within the last TWELVE years! Not that they took place before you were born hence, you did not witness them. Therefore, if you still want to kill yourself because of any politician please go ahead.

12. It is no more news that Ex-president Jonathan visited Obasanjo in otta on the 20-01-2017. Obasanjo and Jonathan walk hand in hand and tour Ibogun village laughing and cracking jokes.

BY THE TIME THEY ARE BACK IN SAME PARTY IN 2019, WE WILL BE MARKING THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF OUR IGNORANTS IN UNDERSTANDING THE ANTICS OF THE Politicians !!!!!"

Don't know who authored it but I must commend the unknown brain behind this masterpiece...

Opinion: Very much unlike a Professor, those words aimed at Tubaba......

Being intolerant to perspectives that do not align with one's take on a matter, is for me, a clearer trait of illiteracy than the flirtatious indiscretion of a handsome rich guy wanted by almost every girl.

Increasingly, decent examples of how to argue or present our different perspectives devoid of pettiness and insults, are getting rarer. The propensity to let go of the issue and get personal seems to be the trendy path to tow.

Very many times i find myself against the position some people take on issues and yet i am more appalled , not by that position that i also disagree with, but by the insult laced rejoinders of those who, like me, do not buy the originating position but who, in their act of expressing a contrary view, make conscientious effort to rid the engagement of all decency and respect and recede into a corner respecter of emotions and insults.

Sadly, the habit is nurtured and preserved by those not so discerning minds who, while in readership of such nonsense, are moved to applaud, hail, like and share the thrash.

While arguing - and please, i am no model myself - i do not find more strength nor more conviction in my position by the mere fact that someone else who holds the same opinion with me on a matter, has joined the exchange but their contribution is to insult the person or persons i am arguing with.

It doesn't enrich the debate but it's a familiar path for small minds who are unsure of lasting the mileage of an engagement that might require being rational.

The resort to insults becomes default mode. The dearth of emotional intelligence and the triumph of verbal grenades, this phase.

OPINIONS: THE DEGENERATING GENERATION OF BENUE by Abraham Orkuma.

Politics is a very serious undertaking and needs people with credibility whose presence in the political arena can bring good values to the political process.

So you see, our self-inflicted misery was what we celebrating. All young people think life is easy and crooks think politics is a getway to richness.

Politics is not a “dirty game” that should be left to the scum, crooks, thieves, prostitutes, liars and so on and so forth. Politics is a genuine way of being at the service of others for the integral development of the society. participation in the political life must be guided by good values and respect for human dignity, human rights, common good, social justice, equity, honesty, humility, solidarity, integral development, special concern for the poor and non-violence in resolving conflicts.

Look at the people who rule us, who govern the affairs of our communities, of our state! Look at the type of people who dominate our politics! From Chiefs all the way up.

The political leadership of Benue state in most cases, seems to attract the worst among us in every sense of the word. If you look at the business people who enter our politics, it is often not the most honest, ethical and professional of them.

It is often the most dishonest, the most crooked and selfish of them who enter our politics. It is often those who have made a fortune at our own expense by crooking government and other state agencies in all sorts of business deals, tenders or contracts, privatisations, sale of government fiscal policies and so on and so forth. With the money they have amassed at our expense, they enter politics and make it very difficult for those without money to compete with them.

They become the main financiers or sponsors of all meaningful political activities in the state. Even for you to become a councillor, a member of state house of assembly or Governor, they have to sponsor you. Politically, nothing happens without them. If they don’t directly lead, they become the sponsors of those who lead. For what? To make more money. It is not for the heck of it. They will tell you that they are already rich and don’t need a government salary, car or house. This is true. But they need more than a government salary, car or house. They need total control of government business.

Don’t be deceived or allow yourselves to be deceived. There is no businessman in Benue too rich not to want to make any more money. We don’t have billionaires or even multi-millionair. We don’t have the Dangotes here. What we have is a comprador bourgeoisie, that is small capitalists fronting for big capitalists. They still want to enrich themselves at your expense. But to do so, they need state power to enable them control government business. And these are the people controlling your politics.

Look at most of those with high education, the academics, the professionals who enter politics! The great majority of them are not our most honest and ethical intellectuals or professionals. Most of them are simply crooks who have used their higher education and professional skills to manipulate things, politics in their favour. And look at what they do when they are in power! They are the most corrupt. They are the ones given tasks to manipulate legislative processes and other laws.

Look at the majority of our religious people who join politics! While there are some very good religious people in our politics, it is often not the best of them but the worst in the moral, civic, political and professional sense that enter politics. Look at the behaviour of some of them! You can’t believe that some of these people were once preachers standing on the pulpit.

Look at how crooked they are! Listen to the lies they tell! Look at how violent they are in their politics! Look at how dishonest they are! The same with the so called activists, the worst thieves, crooks and spies now are in politics. I won’t even start on women. While there are some very good women who join politics and who should be encouraged to stay in politics, most of them are the worst of our women in the moral, ethical, integrity and indeed in every sense of the word.

Look at our youths, students and other young people who join our politics! All over the world, it is young people who are actually involving themselves in the struggle to eliminate injustice, oppression and exploitation. They are the ones who most quickly identify with the struggle and necessity to eliminate the conditions that exist. But unfortunately for us, the great majority of our young people who are in politics today are nothing but mercenaries being hired by those with money to do all sorts of wrong things. They are the ones hired to perpetrate violence against innocent people, whose only crime is to belong to a political party of their choice or to challenge those who have hired them. Can most of our young people in politics today be said to be the best of our youths, students in the moral, ethical and honest sense?

Again, let me emphasise that not every business person, academic or intellectual, professional, religious person, woman, youth or student who is in politics falls short of the expected moral, ethical or civic standards. We do recognise the good ones and we should celebrate them. But our politics is today dominated by the worst of these. If the best of them dominated our politics, the situation of our state and our people would be very different.

Now, we have only one state and we are responsible for its future. Wake up Benue, start choosing leaders on merit not on sentments, money.

OPINIONS | ''CHANGE BEGINS WITH ME''-Stephen Akuma.

Nigeria as a country has faced different challenges since her independence in 1960. These challenges range from long military rule, civil war, militancy, rigging and now terrorism. It is pertinent to note that every country in the world has its own challenges and the solution to those challenges lies in the hands of the citizens and leaders of that country.

To My Christian Compatroits-Elvis Iyorngurum

Beloved in Christ, in 2011 they told you to vote a christian as president to prevent the Islamisation of Nigeria. Four years later, it is obvious that the message was straight from the pit of hell. Today it is very doubtful to say the 'christian president' you voted is indeed a christian. How does it profit the church that there has been so much bloodshed under the rule of this man? He refused to arm the military after squandering over 4trillion Naira he budgeted for defence, and millions of dollars donated to our country by foreign governments to support our war against Boko Haram. Our poorly armed soldiers are forced to run away when Boko Haram attacks communities because the enemy is more equipped than they are.

''Politics And Islamic Issues'' By Egheomhanre Emmanuel Eyieyien, FCA.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
Steve Jobs

I respect the decision of those Christians who support Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. It is their prerogative to do so. My opposition to Gen. Buhari has nothing to do with his being a Muslim. Those who follow my Facebook posts know that I have been advocating that Alhaji Ibrahim Dankwambo, the Governor of Gombe State, should become Nigeria’s President in 2019 after President Goodluck Jonathan’s second term. Alhaji Dankwambo is a Muslim Fulani but he is very sound. He is very intelligent, professional, urbane, focused, visionary and, more importantly, he is not an Islamist.Read on..
